THE SENDA VIVA PARK, CAVES, ACTIVITIES... LOTS OF FUN FOR THE LITTLE ones
To know what to see in Navarra with children, we are going to try to strike a healthy balance between what the little ones and the older ones like, because we think that parents also have to enjoy the trip. A safe option is to dedicate a whole day to the children visiting the Senda Viva park, one of the main tourist attractions in Navarra. Then we will try to combine some activity, such as visiting a cave, horseback riding, visiting a museum, etc. with a hiking route, not too demanding, but that brings us closer to the beautiful landscapes that Navarra offers. Finally we can complete the visit with one of the many cultural visits that we offer in this guide.
PRACTICAL TIPS
1) Navarra is not too big, and the roads are good, but if you want to save distances we advise you to stay close to what you are going to visit.
2) Living Path It is the main attraction for children, and receives thousands of visits every year. You must buy the ticket in advance to guarantee access, and the visit will take you all day. The park closes during the winter months, so you should check availability on the park's official website.
3) Below we offer you a PDF with the main tourist activities in Navarra so you can organize your visit. We have added natural bathing areas, in case the heat gets too intense. You can download it to your mobile phone and it is very easy to use. A very simple and comfortable way to decide what to see in Navarra with children.
4) Navarra has natural places of singular beauty that we recommend you visit. Here we indicate the main ones hiking trails to do with children.
5) Las tourist visits The ones that children like the most are the castles, especially those of Olite, Ujué and Javier, but there are more options than here we introduce you.
6) At the end of this page we recommend a series of accommodations that collaborate with us in the tourist dissemination of Navarra, who understand the trade as a comprehensive service and who ensure that tourists enjoy the best of this land, and then find the best rest.
WE ORGANIZE A TOUR FOR YOU
DAY 1
DAY 1: TRIP OF ORIGIN – SENDA VIVA
Travel from the place of origin. Visit to the park Living Path, which is a pleasant combination between walking through the countryside contemplating tigers, lions, bears, monkeys, birds of prey, etc., with riding dizzying attractions such as the zip line or bobsleigh and witnessing quality shows. The visit lasts all day, because the park is one of the largest in Spain, and there are many different areas to visit. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 2
DAY 2. ACTIVITY + HIKING
The idea would be to combine some activity with a hiking route. You could ride a horse in the Arbayún equestrian and then visit the Lumbier gorge, ride through a desert and know the Royal Bardenas. Visit the truffle museum, the farm Basabere or of Gure Sustraiak and walk the paths of the Urbasa mountain range. Choose an option that we offer you in this website and complete the day with some tourist visit in the surroundings. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 3
DAY 3. CASTLES, CAVES, ETC.
For the last day we suggest you visit the Olite castle, with its high towers, the town of Ujué, or the castle of Javier. You can also visit the caves of Mendukilo o Urdax and then go on a hiking route. In Pamplona we recommend The guided tour of the Bullring and if you come in winter you can get close to the snowy peaks of the Pyrenees in the Larra Belagua ski resort. Return to the place of origin.

OTHER THREE-DAY ROUTES THROUGH NAVARRE

3 days – 2 nights Irati Forest and Pyrenees
The Irati Forest is one of those forests that you have to know for being the largest beech forest in Europe and nearby is the Roncal valley with its villages of mountain houses and the high peaks of the Pyrenees, to end in the lands of the castle of Javier, the monastery of Leyre, Sangüesa and the spectacular gorges of Lumbier or Arbayún. Too many places to see for so few days, so you will have to make a selection or extend your stay for another day.

3 days – 2 nights Tierra Estella and Urbasa
Urbasa is an extensive plateau of forests and meadows in which deep caves and chasms are hidden. and magical places such as the source of the Urederra, which, in a succession of waterfalls and pools of turquoise blue waters, descends towards the Améscoa valley. Estella awaits us nearby, a bustling city with many monuments to see and the hidden monastery of Iranzu. And further away Los Arcos, Viana, Artajona, Eunate... a whole list of places of interest to complete this unique route.

3 days – 2 nights Pamplona and surroundings
Pamplona was always surrounded by walls, and much remains of them, undoubtedly one of the largest and best preserved walled enclosures in all of Europe. The cathedral, with its cloister, a jewel of Gothic architecture, and the bullfighting tour will take you through its old town and its many bars, always lively, especially on Thursdays, Fridays and weekends. But since we consider that, like most medium-sized cities, it is not enough for a three-day visit, we recommend that on the second day you take the car and go see the surroundings. By…

3 days – 2 nights Olite and Bardena
A desert in the rainy north? That's right, a desert devastated by the wind and that brings us closer to the spectacular places of Piskerra or Castildetierra, photographed thousands of times and that seem taken from a movie set. The Olite castle, one of the most beautiful in Spain, is a must-see when you come to Navarra, and a little further away, perched in the mountains, we will find the town of Ujué, with its houses stacked around the Sanctuary-fortress of Santa María.

3 days – 2 nights Baztán and Northern Lands
The North of Navarra is a land of dazzling green, rivers and streams everywhere, meadows, enormous hamlets cared for with care, and ancient traditions that reflect Basque culture. Two different landscapes Leurtza and Xorroxín with the same protagonist, the water, which in the first remains dammed between mountains and in the second jumps running down the mountain. Two routes and countless towns spread throughout the valleys, all of them worth visiting. From the Baztán valley to the Urdax and Zurragamurdi caves to end in the Sierra de Aralar and the…
