SOUTHERN NAVARRA: LAND OF CASTLES AND DESERTS
A desert in the rainy north? That's right, it is the Bardenas Reales, a desert devastated by the wind and that offers us the spectacular places of Piskerra or Castildetierra, photographed thousands of times and that seem taken from a movie set. It is the Ribera Navarra, blessed by a mild climate, a garden of famous vegetables and a cathedral, that of Tudela, with a complex structure and exquisite taste. Going up towards the north is the Olite castle, one of the most beautiful in Spain, a must-see when coming to Navarra, and a little further away, perched in the mountains we will find the town of Ujué, with its houses stacked around the Sanctuary-fortress of Santa Maria. DAY 1
DAY 1: ORIGIN TRIP – OLITE AND UJUÉ
Travel from place of origin to olite where we will visit the castle, with high and crenellated towers. We can take a walk through the old town, or visit one of its many wineries. Then we will move to Ujué, a town at the top of the mountains, with the sanctuary of Santa María that looks more like a castle than a temple. DAY 2. BARDENAS – TUDELA.
We head to the Bardenas desert. The most common entrance is from the town of Arguedas and we will soon reach the head of castildetierra. We recommend that you go around the shooting range and get closer to Piskerra where you can do the hiking route that we propose. We will leave the Bardenas Reales to go to the city of Tudela, where we will walk through its old town, visit the cathedral and enjoy the local cuisine. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 3. TUDELA – LAS ROSCAS.
On the last day, and depending on the time available and the desire of each person, you can complete the route of the Threads, a place of sculptural forms near the monastery of fitero, or take a walk through the historic center of Corella drinking pinchos and wines in its lively streets, or go to Tarazona, now in the province of Zaragoza, and see its impressive cathedral. 3 days – 2 nights Irati Forest and Pyrenees
The Irati Forest is one of those forests that you have to know for being the largest beech forest in Europe and nearby is the Roncal valley with its villages of mountain houses and the high peaks of the Pyrenees, to end in the lands of the castle of Javier, the monastery of Leyre, Sangüesa and the spectacular gorges of Lumbier or Arbayún. Too many places to see for so few days, so you will have to make a selection or extend your stay for another day.
3 days – 2 nights Tierra Estella and Urbasa
Urbasa is an extensive plateau of forests and meadows in which deep caves and chasms are hidden. and magical places such as the source of the Urederra, which, in a succession of waterfalls and pools of turquoise blue waters, descends towards the Améscoa valley.
