The Vuelta de Arrako is an excellent circular route that summarizes the best of the Belagua Valley in just 2 hours of travel. In it we will find centuries-old beech forests, rushing ravines and the beautiful corner of the Arrako Waterfall, whose access has been conditioned. In addition, at the highest point of the route you pass next to the famous Venta de Juan Pito, where it is also possible to access by vehicle. The climb begins gently through pastures and pine forests, but little by little it begins to gain altitude more quickly until reaching a fantastic beech forest. In the forest area it is necessary to cross four ravines with variable flow, which can be complicated in winter. We can do the route from below or from Venta Juanpito, depending on whether we want to end there or have a drink halfway there.
Route 5,3 km. Circular
– It is recommended to take the route clockwise, so that the ascent from Arrako to Juan Pito is more pleasant and less steep.
– On the steep descent towards Arrako we will pass by the detour to the waterfall (a highly recommended visit) and by the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de Arrako, which is attended in a pilgrimage from Isaba every July.
– In the winter months the route may be covered in snow and with patches of ice in the ravines, extreme caution due to the risk of vertical falls.
– The route crosses several ravines with seasonal flow, it is not recommended to cross them in case of floods.
