RAISE A CASTLE OF ART
OTEIZA MUSEUM
We have just left Pamplona, and we are already in the middle of the forest. The route takes us to the Oteiza Museum, a huge concrete mass in the small town of Alzuza, which looks like a castle imposing its presence over the Egüés valley. The route is very comfortable and easy to follow if you are a little attentive. Apart from the panoramic views, this walk is more of an excuse to visit the Jorge Oteiza Museum, the great sculptor who brings us closer to modern art in an impressive building designed by architect Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oiza.
PRACTICAL TIPS
-You can start the route from the Museum itself, located just 10 km from Pamplona, and there is also the option of starting from the Olloki church and stopping halfway at the Museum.
-The route goes into the forests, taking us away from the noises of the city, so close and so in sight.
-Obviously the route must end with a visit to the Oteiza Museum, where we will try to get closer to modern sculpture and architecture.
