Iglesia de Santa Maria

The church of Santa María is an architectural jewel built in the 18th century, on top of a previous one from the 13th century. The structure has a Latin cross plan and a nave with four sections. The beautiful roof is a barrel vault with lunettes. The choir rises at the foot of the nave on a lowered arch. A baptismal chapel is located at the foot of the nave on the Epistle side.

Berbinzana Bridge

The Berbinzana Bridge is a medieval Romanesque-style construction that crosses the Arga River. The first documentary references place reconstruction works carried out on the structure in the 18th century.

In 1978, work began to expand it and to accommodate vehicular traffic. However, it preserves part of the original structure that has seen the waters of the river pass by for hundreds of years, being an exceptional witness to the history of the town.

Next to the bridge and under its arches we can enjoy a wonderful natural bathing area, where you can spend the day and take a dip. There is also a pier, as this stretch of the Arga River is ideal for canoeing or canoeing.

Descent of the Arga

The Bajada del Arga is a tradition that takes place in August on the Sunday before the holidays. The journey is made up of about two kilometers that the charrines navigate, from the old Sabucar dam to the town, on boats in many cases built by themselves.

Motor boats are not allowed and the only ones who use them are the authorities and security and rescue organizations. It is a day of laughter, avoiding falling into the water and sharing chistorra and bacon sandwiches at the end of the day.
