NECESSARY MATERIAL
- Clothing: Reflective vest, two changes of clothes for walking and another for after the shower are enough. In hot times, thermal summer t-shirts are better than classic cotton t-shirts, as they are very light, breathable and do not retain moisture. In winter it is necessary to wear warm clothing, and in summer do not forget to wear a thin fleece.
- If you go by bike: Short and long quick-drying pants, preferably made of lycra, A light and waterproof windbreaker,
- Two long-sleeved, quick-drying t-shirts, A raincoat with hood and extension for the luggage rack.
- Sleeping bag: In summer, one of +15 (comfort degrees) is enough. Some only weigh 700 grams. For other times of the year we will need one of +10 or +5, which does not exceed one kilo in weight.
- For the rain: Most carry a waterproof layer (the well-known poncho) that also covers the backpack, but it is uncomfortable if the wind blows. A good alternative is to bring a waterproof jacket and pants, and a waterproof protector for your backpack. It's even a good idea to carry a small, lightweight umbrella.
- For the sun, it is essential to wear a hat or cap with a visor, glasses and sun protection cream.
- For the cold and wind: In addition to the appropriate clothing, we must not forget to wear some clothing to protect the head.
- Depending on the time of year, bring a scarf and gloves.
- Other footwear: Comfortable footwear may be recommended for resting and walking, once the stage is over. It is also useful to bring flip flops for the shower.

Also a canteen, tissues, toilet paper, a clock with an alarm function, earplugs for whoever deems it appropriate;
- DNI or passport, social security card, Credential, Route Diary, money and credit card.
- The first aid kit: We must keep in mind that in the hostels there is a complete first aid kit available to walkers and, in addition, we will find many pharmacies along the Camino. Therefore, it will be enough to bring: aspirin, hypodermic needles, disinfectant, scissors, gauze, tweezers and tape (cloth and wide).
- Mobile phones are dispensable, but if you travel alone it will be an important security element.
IF YOU GO WALKING
- The boots: It is the element to which you have to pay the most attention. The most suitable are tracking boots: light, high-top to protect the ankle and waterproof. It is important to have walked many kilometers with them and not to wear them for the first time on the road. Some pilgrims prefer to walk in low-top hiking shoes or even simple sneakers. But in case of rain, mud and steep slopes they can get into trouble.
- The mat: The mat, or rubber insulator, will be useful if we ever have to sleep on the ground, or take a nap in the field.
- The staff: Along with the scallop, it is the most significant symbolic element of the pilgrimage. In addition, it is very useful both to accompany the step and to have another point of support on the descents. Due to the type of path that we will find, the most suitable is the traditional wooden stick compared to the more modern telescopic type mountain stick.
