UBAGUA RIVER CANYON
We are on one of the edges of the Sierra de Urbasa, which guarantees the beauty of the landscape. A gorge with lush vegetation through which a stream runs that emerges from the rocks at the source of the Ubagua River. A dam and the river's backwaters create pleasant resting and swimming areas. And at the two ends, two towns, Riezu and Lezaún, with their large stone houses and pleasant squares complete this spectacular route.

PRACTICAL TIPS
– The route can be done in either direction but you have to keep in mind that the slope always goes up from Riezu to Lezaún, so it is usually more logical to start from Riezu. It has some signage and the path is very clear, next to the river and in the middle of the gorge.
– If what you want is a short walk, you can go to the source or go to the bridge and return back to Riezu. In this case the route is just three kilometers, suitable for all ages.
– The influx on weekends and if the weather is good is very high, especially in Riezu. Try to park as little as possible.
– Both Riezu and Lezaún have a bar. In Lezaún you will find the Basabere school farm where you can make a pleasant visit in which the enjoyment of the little ones is guaranteed. It also has a restaurant but you must make a prior reservation. More information BASABERE.

WHERE TO SLEEP
