Troskata Waterfall Route
Beautiful and complete route in which we will enjoy beech, oak and chestnut forests, waterfalls and the excellent civil architecture of the Donamaria environment: the Jaureguia tower, the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, water mills, laundries... In This route we will visit the waterfalls of the Txaruta River. This excursion is best done when the river has enough water to enjoy the view of the waterfalls. You can park in the parking lot next to the Town Hall. From there we will begin our route and end up visiting the town, which has excellent facilities where we can finish after our day of visiting: swimming pool, very complete children's park (with zip line), restaurants and accommodation.

PRACTICAL TIPS
– It is advisable to do the route during times when it has rained to enjoy its waterfalls. To do this, it is important to have good mountain footwear, because we may encounter mud during the route.
– We left the car without problems in the parking lot at the swimming pool-fronton of Uxarrea (Donamaria). We will take the route in the direction of the waterfalls. Just outside is the convent of the Discalced Carmelites. We continue along a concrete track until we enter the forest. We will cross the remains of some mines and we will go almost the entire time with Txaruta Erreka in sight until we reach the waterfalls. We cross the bridge and turn completely right. We climb the hill and the landscape opens up. We arrive at the Bidartxo menhir. There is also a fountain on the hill. From there we will cross the forest and go down to reach a track, but immediately we will get on the path to Donamaria. We arrive at Artze, cross and arrive at an old mill and the Jauregia tower house.
– We recommend three routes depending on your desire:
--- Short orange route. 6,8 km. CIRCULAR. It leaves from the Artze neighborhood.
--- Blue recommended route. 10 km. CIRCULAR. It leaves from Uxarrea neighborhood and center of Donamaria. From here we will visit and enjoy both the forests, mountains, waterfalls, and the architecture of Donamaria.
