MONJARDÍN CASTLE
It is a short, somewhat dry route, with continuous slopes to the conquest of what was one of the most impregnable castles in the kingdom of Navarra. Moorish fortress with the Banu Cassi dynasty, it was conquered by King Sancho Garcés in the year 908 and since then it has remained on the summit dominating the valleys. The panorama is wide, so much so that from there you can see up to 60 Navarrese towns, it is a matter of counting them. According to tradition, the mortal remains of King Sancho Garcés rested in the hermitage, exhausted from so many battles.
Route 4,2 km. Circular.
