MIGUEL ECHAURI FOUNDATION
In an exquisitely preserved old baroque building from the 17th century, which was a family residence and today houses the foundation, we can enjoy a wide sample of the best paintings by Miguel Echaurri, one of the most renowned painters in Pamplona. Trained with the Navarrese painter Ciga, he soon traveled to America where he achieved well-deserved fame. His painting is in line with the best tradition of Spanish painting and is characterized by its accentuated realism, the use of ochers and greens, and the use of light close to Caravaggio, Zurbarán or Dalí. Walking through the spacious rooms is to enter another lifestyle of baroque elegance, and enjoy the art that decorates its walls. The ground floor houses a temporary exhibition room.
