MONREAL FIG
The Higa de Monreal is a challenge, especially for cyclists, who see in its tight curves and impossible slopes a summit only within the reach of the strongest. For hikers, especially if they arrive from Pamplona, it is the amazement of entering a landscape of lush beech forests, streams and wetlands more typical of the distant mountain. But there it is, just a stone's throw from the city, a pleasant mid-mountain route that we would definitely like to recommend.

PRACTICAL TIPS
-Monreal is very well connected by the highway and a stone's throw from Pamplona. You can park next to the river or near the sports center. The bridge area or the castle are well worth a visit.
-The route is perfectly marked by green and white markings.
-The slopes, in the first section, without being excessive, are constant and can make the climb a bit exhausting.
-The route does not lead to the top of Higa, it goes around it completely. For the most daring there is a path halfway up that takes you to the summit.
-It is a challenge for cyclists to climb to the top on a road full of curves and steep slopes.
