ZAMARIAIN VIEWPOINT
AEZKOA VALLEY
One of the biggest tourist attractions in the AEZKOA VALLEY is the ZAMARIAIN VIEWPOINT. Is very simple to do. The route can be done from the marked parking lot in the middle of the route, but in our opinion, it is worth doing it from Garaioa. We start from Garaioa along the track that goes up to the Repeater. We climb until the concrete runs out, where we will find a curb and a little further ahead of it is the post that indicates the beginning of the path that goes to the viewpoint. It is perfectly signposted and it is also a very short walk. If you go by car we will arrive at the viewpoint very quickly. It is very easy and there is practically no slope. The viewpoint is something worth visiting. It is worth the descent down the mountain. We will enjoy the views of the surrounding towns and their mountains.
Route 6.99 km. Circular.
TIPS
– In Garaioa we have a fountain to charge the canteens or after the route.
– If we want to make it circular, we will go up the red track and go down the blue track. The views of the valley are stunning.
– Spring and especially autumn are the times when the forest offers us its most spectacular colors.
– When we go down we can eat very well in the town itself.

Auñamendi rural hotel. In the center of Ochagavía, one of the most beautiful towns in Navarra and a stone's throw from the Irati Forest, we find this charming rural hotel. Iratiko Rural Hostel Urkixokoa. Orbaiceta. This country house serves a buffet breakfast. You can dine and it offers a terrace. The property has a shared lounge. Cycling and hiking can be enjoyed nearby. A fairly new place and in a beautiful location.
