TOP OF ADI – QUINTO REAL
Circle route. Long Jump 11,2 km. Elevation 857 metres. Estimated tour time: 3,5 hours.
At the foot of Sorogaín there is an information building, a hostel and a parking space, where we can leave the car; The route is easy and can be done with children, it starts next to the parking lot. We go up a path that goes into the forest in the direction of Saigots.
We passed a clearing and went through a gate, following the white and red signs. Next, we begin the ascent up a steep slope. After traveling about 4,5 kilometers we reached a fence. We are now close to the top and the views are impressive, it is super important to have a GPS, especially if there is fog and snow. Pay attention to the white and red marks so as not to get confused.
After traveling along a mountain track we reach a fence and some wooden stairs, the Adi is in sight if visibility is good. The last stretch to the top is 1,5 kilometers and we crown the Adi and its 1448 meters high.
We make the descent parallel to a fence, we must be careful because the ground can be a little slippery and the slope is very steep. Following the markings we reach a turn to the right to take the GR-11 identified with white and red markings, this takes us back to Sorogaín.
-Sorogain is a valley of great beauty where it is common to see families enjoying the weekend and, if the weather is good, bathing in the cold waters of the river.
-The route can be long and in some sections hard, depending on the strength of each person, but the landscapes covered and the panoramic views from the top compensate for all the efforts.
-The route is signposted but it is advisable to be careful in certain areas so as not to get lost.
