It is just a mountain walk, as it goes up towards the Sierra de Leyre along a path of slopes and rocks. Along the way we will enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Leyre monastery with the Yesa reservoir in the background. We will arrive at the San Virila fountain, where they say that the saint sat down to meditate looking for an answer to eternity and remained lost in the mountains for 300 years. Upon returning we will visit the monastery, with its ancient stones and the tombs of the kings of a small and lost kingdom among the mountains.
Travel 2 km. Round trip.
PRACTICAL TIPS
-It is just a walk that in the first section goes along a wide path and then follows a mountain path, in which sometimes you have to go from stone to stone.
-The views of the monastery and the Yesa reservoir are really worth it.
-The San Virila fountain is just a place between rocks and trees, with a statue and where, depending on the time of year, there may not even be a fountain.
