ZARATE – AZCÁRATE
Going up to the Zarate hill is a pleasure. Throughout the year, due to the environment itself. There are some of the pieces by the artists participating in the Azken Muga. You'll find a performative piece or a giant wooden chair. From the side, we will do a circular route that runs through the muga between Gipuzkoa and Navarra, perfect for doing with children and practically flat. We will see the two valleys from each side of the mountain slope and in the background we will permanently contemplate the Malloas.
Route: 5,2 km. Circular. or 9,2 from Azcárate
PRACTICAL TIPS
-We go up from the Atallo crossing. It is marked with a sign from Azken Muga.
-We have two possibilities:
1- We parked in the town of Azcárate next to the swings. From there we go up a path to the right until we reach a crossroads where we follow the orange signs. From here on there is no loss.
2- We can do this route by car until the blue mark on the map. There are 1 km that we go along a mountain path. We will have to go slowly with the car until we reach a hut. Here we will park and begin a 5 km circular route.
