To go for beer and tapas, the busiest area with the highest concentration of bars is the Plaza del Castillo and the streets San Nicolás, Estafeta and surrounding areas. You can go from bar to bar without having to travel even ten meters, a matter of saving effort when walking. In the Plaza del Castillo what abounds are the terraces that seek the best orientation and the sun, so appreciated in Pamplona. The one with the greatest tradition is Café Iruña, opened in 1888 and which preserves its elaborate original decoration, in a romantic style.
